Dog Days of Birmingham was a canine day-care, kennel and grooming center located, along with the owners' loft residence, in the former Hunter Furniture store at 112 18th Street North. It is owned by Jimmy and Sue Johnson. Their $660,000 investment in the redevelopment was supported by a $350,000 float loan from the City of Birmingham. The alterations were designed and constructed by Appleseed Workshop.
