John Wesley Rice (born April 1895 in Clinton, Greene County; died 1954) was a Presbyterian minister, the father of John Rice, Jr and grandfather of Condoleezza Rice.

Rice, the son of a Greene County farmer, attended Stillman College in Tuscaloosa, finishing with a scholarship made available to men planning to become Presbyterian ministers. He was ordained on May 20, 1920 in the Central Louisiana Presbytery and pastored several churches in that state. He married Theresa Hardnett and they raised a son, John Jr.

In 1943 the Rices moved to Birmingham to lead the small mission that became Westminster Presbyterian Church in Titusville. Rice remained at Westminster until his retirement in 1951, and was succeeded by his son.
