Father Richard E. Donohoe (born in Lawrence, Massachusetts) is a former rector of St Paul's Cathedral in Birmingham. He was born in Massachusetts and attended Oglethorpe University in Atlanta and the University of the South in Sewanee.
Donohoe was raised in the Episcopal Church and ordained as an Episcopal priest before converting to Catholicism in 1980. He was ordained by Pope John Paul II in 1984. He served previously in Anniston before coming to Birmingham in 2001, where, in addition to serving the Cathedral as Rector he was CEO and Vicar of the Catholic Diocese of Birmingham. Donohoe was succeeded by Kevin Bazzel in 2009.
