The Birmingham Blitz is a semi-pro basketball team which plays at the Bill Harris Arena at Fairgrounds Park. The team, which competes in the American Basketball Association's Atlantic South Conference, began play with a November 16, 2012 home date against the Southwest Fellowship Warriors from Atlanta, Georgia.

The team is co-owned by Tay Walker and Ronald Steele, Jr. Paul Thomas is general manager and Paul Smith is head coach.
