John Holladay

John Wayne Holladay (born c. 1973) is a high school football coach and former quarterback.

Holladay was quarterback for Appalachian High School in Oneonta, coached by his father Lee Holladay, when he set the state's single game passing record with 461 yards in a double overtime loss to Oakman High School as a sophomore in 1988. Holladay was the UAB Blazers quarterback after graduating from Graceville High School in Florida where his father had accepted a coaching postion.

After graduating from UAB, Holladay began his coaching career in 1996 as head coach at Brilliant. In 1999 he moved to Hamilton High. In 2005, he took over the Clay-Chalkville High School team, and lead the Cougars to two regional titles in two seasons. In 2007 he was named head coach for the Walker High School Vikings football team in Jasper where he coached until the first game of the 2013 season. During that time Holladay amassed a win-loss record of 130-66, with 3 regional titles, including the 2012 title for Walker.

Holladay was involved in an on-field brawl with rival Cullman High School's defensive coordinator Matt Hooper on August 30, 2013 after Cullman beat Walker 13-10 at Ki-Ro Gambrell Field. On September 3, Holladay resigned his position as football coach, but remained on administrative leave from his teaching position. Offensive coordinator Heath Brunner was named interim head coach.
