Pearl Harbor?

  • While the 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor isn't related to Birmingham directly, this day is known for that. I got around the September 11 attacks because we had articles on natives who died that day. Would it be prudent to mention Pearl Harbor? Likewise, is it necessary to mention that December 25 is traditionally when Western Christians celebrate Christmas? --Wheresdib 09:23, 23 November 2007 (PST)
  • A mention of it for 1941 sounds fine to me, especially since we hope to someday have an article at World War II to summarize and cross-reference various impacts the war had on Birmingham and vice-versa. --Dystopos 17:18, 23 November 2007 (PST)
  • Agreed. There are certain events profound enough to deserve mention, even though they aren't directly Birmingham related. While one has to walk a fine line in selecting such events, I'd certainly say the attack on Pearl Harbor was one to include. --Lkseitz 14:08, 27 November 2007 (PST)

Fred Williams

I'm unable to determine quickly whether the 1974 or 1963 year is the correct one for his birth. --Lkseitz 07:35, 16 December 2013 (PST)

  • What I'm showing is that he played for UAB in 1998 and 1999, so the 1974 date would be the one I would go with. --Wheresdib 09:16, 16 December 2013 (PST)
