* Great work on filling in some big gaps with the bank articles. There's nothing I love more than seeing the wiki grow. I'm curious about Colonial Bank's history in Birmingham - did it absorb a local bank or just open a bunch of branches here? Since it's not based in the "District", we need to make sure to emphasize the local ties. --[[User:Dystopos|Dystopos]] 10:55, 6 October 2006 (PDT)

:* That's why I included the "several offices in the Metro area" blurb.  If I am not mistaken, Colonial expanded into Birmingham several decades ago, but I am not sure if it absorbed any existing banks.  This is one of the few local banks that I haven't worked for, so I don't know all of the history.  I will expand the article and do more research later.  Right now I am trying to hit all the banks that have a presence in Birmingham.  [[User:Wheresdib|--Wheresdib]] 11:00, 6 October 2006 (PDT)
