Lila Miranda Graves was an associate professor of English at the UAB College of Arts and Sciences.
Graves earned her bachelor's and master's degrees and a Ph.D. in literature at Auburn University. She joined the UAB faculty in 1975. In addition to her teaching, writing, criticism and presenting, she was active on the UAB Faculty Senate, serving a term as president.
Graves died in September 2021.
