Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church (also known as Pleasant Grove Baptist Church) is located at 401 52nd Street and Avenue D in Fairfield. It was established in 1902 and previously located at 14 37th Street, Fairfield. There it erected buildings in 1907 and 1926. This site was purchased to build Interstate 20/59 in 1964, and the congregation relocated to its present site, completing its first building there on September 5, 1965. A new sanctuary was completed in 2005.
Because of its role in the Alabama Christian Movement for Human Rights, it was recognized as a "movement church" by the Birmingham Historical Society.
