Crestwood North is a neighborhood in the Crestwood community of Birmingham. It was developed as Woodlawn Heights (also called Woodlawn Highlands) in the early 20th century.
The neighborhood is divided from Crestwood South by Crestwood Boulevard and from Woodlawn by the Central of Georgia Railroad. The neighborhood is bounded by East Avondale across 5th Avenue South to the west and by Oak Ridge Park across 62nd Street South on the east. Crestwood Park is in Crestwood North. Immediately to its north is the Girls Inc Crestwood Center (the former Holman School). The neighborhood also includes the former site of the Woodlawn Infirmary (built in 1896), which was demolished after it caught fire in 2002. The site was redeveloped as single family residences, called Crest Parc.
