The Southern Diner was a meat & three restaurant located at 5961 Chalkville Mountain Lane in Trussville. Opened in August 2012 by building owner Kevin Lather and two partners, it is located at a prominent location visible from I-59 at the Chalkville Mountain Road exit. It closed in 2014.
