Robert F. Bumpus (born c. 1933) is the former superintendent of the Midfield, Homewood, and Hoover school systems.

Biography

Bumpus married his wife, Norma Bumpus, on March 5, 1955. He began his education career around 1960. He earned his B.S. from Bethany Nazarene College and M.A. and Education Specialist degrees from the University of Alabama. He served as a teacher, principal, director of middle and elementary schools, and director of instruction for Decatur City and Jefferson County Schools. One of the schools he served as principal of was McNeil Junior High School in Hueytown.
