Immaculate Conception Catholic Church was an African American Roman Catholic church which was located at 1630–1632 6th Avenue South, now the site of Children's Hospital. The Immaculate Conception School operated adjacent to the church at 516 17th Street South. After Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church burned in 1948, its congregation moved to Homewood, the building was rebuilt for the Immaculate Conception congregation named Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. The Immaculate Conception congregation assumed that new name.
