Teresa Jefferson-Snorton is the presiding bishop of the Fifth Episcopal District of the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church and chair of the governing board of the National Council of Churches.
She succeeded Wallace Lockett.
She was appointed as presiding bishop of the Fifth Episcopal District in 2011 and elected chair of the National Council of Churches in 2021.
