Did you know that both male and female rhinos have two horns that are solid keratin, not bone? Make sure to stop by the Birmingham Zoo soon and wish her a very happy birthday! *Apologies for the typo in our previous post. - It was from a Birmingham Zoo Facebook post (to which I don't know how to link). The post NOW reads "Guess what? Laptop, one of the Birmingham Zoo’s three Southern white rhinos, turns 21* today! Did you know that both male and female rhinos have two horns that are solid keratin, not bone?
