Claude H. Estes III is a real estate broker and president of Tech Providers, Inc.

In 1996 Estes' real estate license was revoked by the Alabama Real Estate Commission for commingling and shortage of funds held in trust. His license was reinstated after payment of a $500 fine and completion of a three-hour course on trust accounts.

In 2001 Estes' company, Tech Providers, Inc., was the subject of investigation into no-bid contracts initiated by then-governor Don Siegelman. The company's contracts with the state tripled after the firm engaged the services of the Matrix Group, a lobbying firm associated with Siegelman.

In 2005 Estes was one of the landowners who sued the Jefferson County Tax Collector for keeping profits from the auction of tax-delinquent properties in excess of taxes owed.

In 2007 Estes' company won a $1.3 million contract to provide accounting software and training to the City of Birmingham. An additional $3.2 million contract was sought in September of the same year.

Estes' company shares an address with Ion Interactive, a provider of surveillance services to the Birmingham Police Department and with an accounting firm headed by his son, Claude Estes, IV.
