Art Grayson (born in Montgomery) is a musician, producer, graphics designer, and president of the Acipco-Finley Neighborhood Association.
Grayson, an Alabama State graduate, was an original member of the Commodores, prior to Lionel Richey joining the group. Grayson was the guitarist for the television show "The Beat", the first national black variety show, in the 1960s. Grayson released at least 3 singles in the 1960s, and produced several more soul and R&B records during the 1960s and 70s. He eventually retired and focused on his graphic design, for which he earned a degree from Alabama State.
Grayson was elected president of the Acipco-Finley neighborhood in 2010.
