The Birmingham International Center is a cultural education program focused on improving global business contacts. Organized in 2006, it is a successor to the Birmingham Festival of Arts, which was founded as a music program in 1951.
In addition to an annual "Salute" to a different nation, the center organizes year-round programs to further its mission.
The center keeps its offices at Birmingham's Innovation Depot at 1500 1st Avenue North. Iris Gross is the executive director, and the current board president is Marty Connors.
