The Hotel Royal was a three-story brick hotel at 1801 1st Avenue North, on the southeast corner of 18th Street. It was constructed in 1887 for Messrs. Johnson and Nichols and could accommodate 75 guests in well-ventilated rooms, and seat 200 in its dining room.
