Society's Child was a music club located in the former Dale's Cellar in downtown Birmingham in the late 1960s. It was owned by guitarist David Walbert. He and singer Jackie Dicie formed a folk duo that served as a house band.

"Society's Child" was the name of a song written by Janis Ian in 1965 about an interracial romance. The song became a controversial nationwide hit in 1967.
