Lisa Mason
Lisa Mason (born Lisa Elaine Carter on November 22, 1969 in Huntsville; died July 2019) was a radio personality on WBPT FM 106.9 "Birmingham's Eagle".
Mason earned her bachelor of arts in English and theater at Samford University in 1992.
She succeeded Cherri "Mason" Ellis on the long-running "Mason and Dixon" talk program with Richard Dixon at WZRR-FM in 1997, and stayed with him when the program later moved to WAPI-AM. She left Dick Broadcasting in 2000 to take a morning slot on 103.7 FM "The Q". She joined WBPT in 2003. Her Lisa Mason Morning Show was honored as Large Market Morning Show in 2017 by the Alabama Broadcasters Association.
Mason has also appeared in several independent films, including Interplanetary (2008) and produced a short from her own screenplay, "Lullaby Procedure".
Mason died from an illness in July 2019.
