Twentieth Street North is a north-south road in the center of downtown Birmingham which functions as Birmingham's "Main Street".
It begins in the south as the continuation of 20th Street South at the Railroad Reservation, just south of Morris Avenue. It continues along what is known as "Birmingham Green" for seven blocks to Park Place where it is interrupted by Linn Park, Interstate 20/59 and the BJCC. The street in front of Birmingham City Hall on the west side of Linn Park is called Short 20th Street.
There are other short sections named 20th Street North in North Birmingham, north of Oak Hill Cemetery and near Finley Boulevard.
