Blue Lake Drive is a 1-mile connector road running parallel to I-459 and below U.S. Highway 280 straddling the borders of Birmingham and Vestavia Hills. It connects Colonnade Parkway at the Colonnade on the southwest to Sicard Hollow Road and Cahaba Heights Road at the Cahaba Pumping Station on the northeast. Part of the road follows the north shore of Elmore Lake.
