The Ensley Jazz House is a performance venue located in a redeveloped commercial building at 611 19th Street in Ensley.
The project was inspired by Ensley Alive, The Color Project Ensley and REV Birmingham's "Revive 2.0" project to activate vacant spaces in Ensley. The Ensley Cinema House, in the vacant former Birmingham Police West Precinct across the street served as a precursor.
The Jazz House program was developed by WordSpeak Literary Entertainment and We Are Rtists, with support from A. G. Callins & Associates, the Alabama State Council of the Arts and REV Birmingham. "Jazz House Poetry" programs were led by Brian "Voice Porter" Hawkins.
