Louisa Pierce (born in Birmingham) is an interior designer and partner in the Nashville, Tennessee-based firm of Pierce & Ward.
She and her husband, Austin Scaggs, met in New York City. As they were expecting their first child in 2010, they built a house to her designs in Nashville's Oak Hill neighborhood. The successful interiors of that home led to her partnership with Emily Ward and to a career in design which includes work for several celebrities.
Pierce and Scaggs sold their Nashville home in 2020 and— after spending some time on Whidbey Island, Washington; Florida; and Los Angeles, California— moved with their two children into a 1920s Tudor-style house in Birmingham. The home was featured in Architectural Digest in March 2023.
