Fourth Avenue Baptist Church was founded as Antioch Baptist Church in 1894. It changed its name to Fourth Avenue Baptist in 1913 and erected a new masonry building in 1948 at 2720 4th Avenue South. By the twenty-first century, the congregation worshiping in the building was known as Living Word Baptist Church.
