Wylam Oaks is a residential subdivision developed in 2008 by Habitat for Humanity of Greater Birmingham on a site fronting Lexington Street to either side of 8th Avenue in Wylam.

The site was donated by U. S. Steel. Ground was broken on September 26, 2007 with infrastructure work provided by the City of Birmingham. The first phase of construction will provide 39 new houses and is expected to begin in July 2008. Another 25 lots are available for future construction on the site.
