Wilbur is a Southern hairy-nosed wombat (Lasiorhinus latifrons) which went on exhibit at the Birmingham Zoo's "Kangaroo Kountry" exhibit, along with his companion Victoria, on March 17, 2009. Zoo officials hope that the two, which both came from the Melbourne Zoo in Melbourne, Australia, will produce offspring.
