The Adamsville City Council is the legislative body for the City of Adamsville. It is made up of one representative from each of five wards. One representative is then elected President of the Council. The body meets in the evenings on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month.
2008-2010
- Ward 1: Anthony Brooklere (defeated Mickey McGehee 78%)
- Ward 2: Regina Crawford, Ed Scott (incumbent) in runoff (defeated Gary Herron)
- Ward 3: Tammy Abston (incumbent, defeated Joy Ann Perry 60%)
- Ward 4: Timothy Buckelew (incumbent), Ron Mosley in runoff
- Ward 5: Yohance Owens (unopposed, certified July 28)
2006-2008
- Ward 1: Steve Adams
- Ward 2: Ed Scott
- Ward 3: Tammy Abston
- Ward 4: Tim Buckelew
- Ward 5: Steve Carmichael (appointed after Wendell Miles was deployed to Iraq in 2006)
