John Westbrook

John Charles Westbrook (1818-1988) was born in Sampson County, North Carolina.In 1839 he was employed as a traveling salesman foa clock clock manufacturing company. In the fall he moved to Tallapoosa County, Alabama and worked as a farmer and grist mill owner and married Elizebeth A.Lamberth. In 1833 he moved his family to Birmingha. We bought and sold real estate in the early years of ter city.He atrated a mechantile business and serves a the President of the Western Vally Street Railway and a director of the Birmingham Agricultural Works.
