Michael Albert Dubruiel (born November 16, 1958 in Keene, New Hampshire; died February 3, 2009 in Birmingham) was priest, author, and Director of the New Evangelization and Stewardship for the Catholic Diocese of Birmingham.

Dubruiel was the son of Albert and Barbara Dubruiel. He served in the U. S. Army before completing his bachelor of arts in philosophy at St Meinrad College in Indiana. He went on to earn a Master of Arts in Christian Spirituality at Creighton University and Master of Divinity at St Vincent de Paul Seminary in Boynton Beach, Florida. He was ordained for the Diocese of St Augustine, Florida in 1987. As a priest he served parishes in Jacksonville, Orange Park and Gainesville and taught homiletics and spirituality at his alma mater. He left the active ministry in 1993 and was "laicized" in 1996.

Dubruiel taught theology at Tampa Jesuit High School from 1994 to 1998, then moved to Huntingdon, Indiana to serve as acquisitions editor for Our Sunday Visitor Publishing. He married Amy Welborn of Birmingham in 2000 and moved here with her in 2008 to work for the Diocese. He also authored several books on spirituality and was a popular speaker.

Dubruiel suffered a fatal heart attack while exercising at the Mountain Brook YMCA in 2009 and was survived by his wife and two children. His funeral mass was celebrated at the Cathedral-Basilica of St Augustine, Florida.
