The 1909 Birmingham Barons represented Birmingham in the Southern League of professional baseball in 1909. The team finished 60-79 with the third-worst record in the league, 28½ games behind the champion Atlanta Crackers.
The Barons were managed, for the first timer, by Carlton Molesworth, who also played outfield. Walt Dickson led the team from the mound with a 16-11 record in 33 appearances. Meanwhile former Atlanta star lefty Grant Schopp had a disappointing 5-17 record in 22 games.
