This is a List of Birmingham homicides in 1985. It includes homicide cases occuring within the city limits during the calendar year. Note that not all homicides are ultimately ruled to be murder in courts of law.

Listing

1. February 25: John Davidson died at Medical Center East from gunshot wounds suffered two days earlier at Mrs Winner's, 737 29th Street South in Lakeview. Davidson, an assistant manager, was the victim of an apparent robbery. Anthony Ray Hinton was convicted of capital murder and sentenced to death.
2. July 2: Thomas Wayne Vason, was shot to death at the Captain D's restaurant on 1st Avenue North in Woodlawn. Vason, an assistant manager, was the victim of an apparent robbery. Anthony Ray Hinton was convicted of capital murder and sentenced to death.
