The 2008 Chandler Mountain plane crash was a fatal aviation accident that occurred on the south rim of Chandler Mountain near Ashville in rural St Clair County on March 14, 2008. The T-34C Turbo Mentor, assigned to Training Squadron 6 based at Whiting Field in Milton, Florida, was conducting routine flight training.

The victims were identified as instructor pilot Major David Yaggy of Sparks, Maryland, and 2nd Lt. Alexander Prezioso, 23, of Lake Worth, Florida, both Marines. The cause of the crash has not yet been determined.
