The 2021 Alabama State Fair was a privately-operated carnival held September 17-26, 2021 at the Birmingham Race Course. Since 2008 the annual event has been put on by the Cordova, Tennessee-based Universal Fairs.
The fair was marketed without any reference to precautions taken for the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Tickets were $10 per day for adults and $5 per day for youth, military and seniors, plus a ride pass of $25 per day.
Promoters advertised 35 rides. The fair's slate of live performances included daily shows by the Coronas of Hollywood Circus, Lady Houdini, magician Bob Bohm, a Banana Derby (monkeys riding dogs), an aquatic acrobatic show, a motorcycle stunt show, Rhinestone Roper, pig races, and comedy hypnotist Ben Jackson. A petting zoo and white tiger display were exhibited each day.
