2040 Highland Avenue was a proposed 10-story, office high rise to be located at 2040 Highland Avenue in Five Points South. At the time of its announcement in April 1957, the tower was proposed by J. Hamilton Perkins and slated to be the first major office building constructed in Birmingham since the completion of the Watts Building in 1928. Designed by Wilmot Douglas, the proposed $2.3 million building featured a strikingly modern design with vertical levels of enameled metal and windows.

The Colony Motor Hotel (now known as Highland Manor) was later constructed on the site.
