Architect's rendering of the Southern Life & Health Insurance building

The Southern Life & Health Insurance building was a small office building constructed in 1954 for the Birmingham District offices of the Southern Life & Health Insurance Company and for the studios and offices of the Jemison Broadcasting Company's WSGN-AM radio station.

The one-story stuccoed brick building, located at 2318-20 7th Avenue South, was designed by Warren, Knight & Davis architects. It has since been modified with the removal of the rooftop sign and sidewalk planters.
