Alabama Operaworks is an opera company directed by William G. Bugg. The company puts on opera and recital performances and sponsors auditions in Birmingham for the New York Metropolitan Opera.
In October 2007 the company was forced to cancel the scheduled "Arias and Autumn Afternoons" performance series due to shrinking funds and board participation.
