Allen Treadaway

Benjamin Allen Treadaway (born September 25, 1961) is the Assistant Chief of the Birmingham Police Department, former captain in command of the East Precinct, and the District 51 State Representative.

Treadaway was elected to the Alabama House of Representatives in November 2006. Treadaway won the Republican primary in a runoff against Vicki Self Bailey and was unopposed in the November general elections.

Treadaway is a past president of the Fraternal Order of Police Birmingham Lodge No. 1. In 1992 he was recognized as the Officer of the Year by the City of Birmingham. For the 2004-2005 year he was the Most Outstanding Member of the Year by the Alabama State Fraternal Order of Police.

Representative Treadway is a past director of Toys for Tots and a current board member of the Birmingham Retirement and Relief System.

Treadaway, his wife Susan and their five children live in Morris and attend Enon Baptist Church.
