Alvin Rutledge (born c. 1955) is an employment specialist for The Arc of Jefferson County, a long time officer for the Killough Springs neighborhood association, and a candidate for Birmingham City Council District 2 in the 2005 and 2009 Birmingham City Council elections.

Hollis has an bachelor of arts from Miles College. He has served as an officer in the Killough Springs neighborhood association for more than 20 years. He ran unsuccessfully in 2002 for a State Senate seat and in the 2005 Birmingham City Council election for District 2.

As a 2009 City Council candidate he is running on a platform of strengthening neighborhoods, improving schools, reducing crime and promoting economic development.
