Areyelle Yarbrough

Areyelle Meishaun Yarbrough (born March 12, 1989 in Fairfield; died April 4, 2021 in Birmingham) was the daughter of Sonya and Michael Yarbrough, pastor of Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

Yarbrough graduated from Fairfield High Preparatory School and earned a bachelor's degree in accounting at Alabama A&M University in 2013. She was employed by Revenue Discovery Systems as a business license specialist and moved from there to the Jefferson County Department of Revenue as manager of principal accounting.

Yarbrough died in April 2021 from a gunshot wound to the head, which she suffered after a fight broke out during an Easter Sunday gathering at W. C. Patton Park in North Avondale. Five others were wounded in the incident.
