The Association of Cajun Music Enthusiasts (ACME) was an organization founded by David Doggett and Dolores Hydock in 1992 to promote the enjoyment of Cajun and Zydeco music in Birmingham. The group ended its activities in May 2012.

ACME sponsored 324 public dances, an average of 18 per year, with 85 different local or national musical groups. It also provided dance lessons for beginners through advanced students. ACME's dances were held at several locations, including the Concordia Club, the Cloud Room, Wald Park Pavilion, and Zydeco. Dance lessons were held at the Vestavia Hills Civic Center and coordinated through the Vestavia Hills Parks and Recreation Board. Members received a monthly newsletter.

The group helped to book and staff the "Dance-O-Rama" and "Dance Depot" venues at City Stages. ACME also assisted with booking Cajun and Zydeco acts at other local events such as the Whistle Stop Festival in Irondale, the Stokin' the Fire BBQ Festival at Sloss Furnaces, and a series of dance-concerts at the Alys Stephens Center.
