The Beautification Council of Jefferson County (originally the Jefferson County Beautification Board) was an organization founded by former Birmingham Mayor George Seibels and created by the Jefferson County Commission on June 19, 1991 to promote environmental awareness and to promote the conservation, reclamation and beautification of sites in Jefferson County. The name was changed in March 2003, the same year that it began granting the George G. Seibels, Jr Beautification Award

The group also organized an annual free plant dig at the Turkey Creek Landfill.

In February 2007 the organization was dissolved when the Commission withdrew its annual appropriation of $10,000.
