Bessemer City Schools are administered by the Bessemer Board of Education to serve the City of Bessemer. Its offices are located at 1621 5th Avenue North.
The superintendent is Fred Primm, Jr. The system's total average daily enrollment for the 2010–2011 school year is 4,555.
