Birmingham Doin's is an advertiser-supported monthly periodical with information on Birmingham area attractions, restaurants, night clubs, and the current month's events. It is distributed for free at hotels, visitor information and welcome centers, restaurants, and other locations. It is published by Dick Coffee Enterprises.

Dick Coffee Jr founded the guide and its sister publication, Tuscaloosa Doin's, in 1950, modeling it after the similar "This Month in Dallas." He added an annual pocket-size Dick Coffee's Football Guide about a year later. Over time he expanded to other cities, including Huntsville, Montgomery, and Decatur, as well as Savannah and Brunswick/Golden Isles, Georgia and Memphis, Tennessee. The toll of traveling to sell advertising led him to drop the out-of-state guides. When he retired in the late 1980s, Coffee passed the business to his son, Dick Coffee III. He expanded again with a guide for Highlands, North Carolina.

The magazine is printed in black and white on glossy paper stock. It is staple-bound and measures 8-1/2" by 5-1/2". In 2000 approximately 8,000 copies of each issue were distributed.
