The Birmingham Wildfire is a minor league professional football team that competes in the newly-established Southern Conference of the LaBelle Community Football League. The team president is former Warrior Wildfire owner Leslie Olive, who also serves as director of the Southern Conference. will play its home games at Legion Field, beginning with an exhibition double-header on June 6. Patti LaBelle, who founded the league in 2003 with business manager Damascene Pierre Paul, will perform the national anthem. She is also scheduled to put on a free concert at Boutwell Auditorium on March 14 to promote the league.

Mike Clements, who played collegiately at the University of Alabama, is the head coach.

Schedule

  • March 7 & 21: player tryouts at Legion Field
  • June 6: vs. Philadelphia Panthers at Legion Field (exhibition. second game will showcase the Inglewood Blackhawks and the Western Mass. Blitzin Bears)
