Henry C. Bryant School (or Bryant Elementary School) was an elementary school operated by Birmingham City Schools at 6446 Washington Avenue near the original Downey Park in Woodlawn. During segregation, the school was operated for Black students only.
The school was named for physician Henry Bryant, founder of the John A. Andrew Clinic at Tuskegee Institute and a national board member of the YMCA.
In 1972 the former school property was sold to the City of Birmingham for $525,200, to make way for expansion of the Birmingham Municipal Airport.
