The Business Council of Alabama (BCA) is a Montgomery-based 501c(6) business lobby and economic development group founded on November 1, 1985 by merger of the Alabama Chamber of Commerce and the Associated Industries of Alabama.

The BCA is headed by CEO Helena Duncan. Its political action committee is the ProgressPAC. In 2013 the BCA launched a separate Business and Education Alliance (BEA) to counter the influence of the Alabama Education Association.

The BCA failed to accomplish its major goals for the 2017 Alabama legislative session. In 2018 major employers Alabama Power Company, Regions Bank and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama withdrew from the council, forcing a change in leadership. Once the council reorganized with a new executive committee, those companies rejoined.
