CB&S entered the Birmingham market on April 1, 2008 when it opened a de novo branch in the former Regions Bank location in the Village at Lee Branch shopping center at 1301 Doug Baker Boulevard off of U. S. Highway 280. CB&S acquired a total of 10 empty branch locations closed as a result of the AmSouth-Regions merger.
