Chester Laster (died June 1952) was pastor of Bethel Baptist Church from April 1942 until his death. During his time as pastor the church's debts were retired.
He was remembered for his energetic preaching style and dapper suits.
He was succeeded by two acting pastors, Cornelious Brown and Reese Smith until March 1953 when Fred Shuttlesworth was called to the pulpit at Bethel.
